Green Valley is a retirement community first, with golf, the recreation centers and a population that swells every winter when the seasonal residents return. The businesses that do well here are the ones that look after that community: home health and in-home care, home watch and handyman services for houses that sit empty in summer, medical and mobility suppliers, landscapers, HVAC, estate and financial planners, restaurants and salons along Continental Road and Esperanza Boulevard.
Their customers read websites on a tablet or a desktop as often as on a phone, and they read them properly. So a Green Valley site gets larger type, higher contrast, plain language and a phone number at the top of every page, and it is written for the seasonal rhythm: what you offer winter residents, and what you offer the people who stay all year.
Icy Vale is based in Tucson, about forty minutes up I-19, and we meet Green Valley clients in person. Prices are fixed and published, from $1,000, which works out to $200 a page; you see the total before you decide, and the hosting plan that keeps the site running afterwards is stated with its term.
